Cryptozoic Releases Mighty Meeples: DC Series 1

Lake Forest, CA – January 11, 2017 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of board games, trading cards, and collectibles, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, announce the release of Mighty Meeples: DC Series 1. The thirty 1-inch wooden figures depict popular DC characters and can be collected for display or can replace pieces in any board game to upgrade the experience.

 

“Cryptozoic Entertainment has been a leader in tabletop gaming since it was founded in 2010, so when we decided to become a collectibles company as well, it only made sense to create a line of figures that live happily both on a collector's shelf and in any board game. First appearing over 15 years ago, the "meeple"—short for "my people"—possesses a distinctive shape that has made it a popular choice for player pieces in a variety of games. Cryptozoic increases the fun with Mighty Meeples that are oversized (regular meeples are usually .75 inches) and showcase fan-favorite DC Super Heroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, as well as Iconic Super-Villains like The Joker, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.

 

Mighty Meeples: DC Series 1 are sold in blind bag assortments that each contain three figures for a suggested retail price of $2.99. The thirty distinctive figures in Series 1 offer a large variety for collectors to show off and gamers to play with in their favorite board games. Starting this week, they will be available at hobby retailers nationwide.
