The DC Comics Deck-Building Game has brought joy to fans around the world since the November 30th release. To help players learn about the game and find fellow fans, we encouraged retailers to host DC Comics Deck-Building Game Days in their stores. We also solicited our volunteers, the Champions of the Black Flame, to help with these events. The response has been incredible. Players are loving the game and we've already completely sold out of our first shipment. (Don't worry! More is on the way!)
We've also decided to extend the DC Comics Deck-Building Game Days. Retailers who sign up to host one of these events by the end of December will receive Martian Manhunter Super Hero promo cards to give out to players who purchase the game. Game Days are being hosted through the end of January at participating locations.
If you own a retail hobby store and have not yet signed up, feel free to contact us for more informationby submitting a ticket here.
We'll leave you with one final thing: a little Game Day report from Trevor McGregor, owner of The Gaming Pit in Duluth, GA.
I've been playing hobby games since I was in middle school and I've been involved in making or selling hobby games for over 12 years. I'm the owner of The Gaming Pit Tournament SuperCenter in Duluth, GA (www.thegamingpit.com). Our store runs events every night of the week and has 20 to 150 players for the various games in the hobby genre every night. The deck-building games are a relatively new entry in the hobby game stable. Most of our regular DBG players and the staff here at The Gaming Pit have been very excited about the DC Comics Deck-Building Game since it was announced. Who doesn't want to play a game where you could be Superman, The Flash, Green Lantern, or Batman? The Gaming Pit Tournament SuperCenter ran a Game Day for the DC Comics Deck-Building Game this past Saturday. With all of the built up excitement for the game itself we had high hopes for our Game Day. To say that the Game Day was a success would be a massive understatement. Over 30 players came out on Game Day to demo or play this great entry to the deck-building game genre by Cryptozoic Entertainment. We ran demos all day long and ended up selling out of our initial supply of the game. Everyone had a great time and for many players this was their first entry into a deck-building game. -Trevor McGregor, Owner of The Gaming Pit
