Summary: The Organized Play and Marketing Coordinator will take the lead in communicating with Cryptozoic’s tabletop gaming fans through social media, industry events, and organized play events. Focusing on brands like DC Deck-Building Game and Epic Spell Wars, the person in this position will build a pool of volunteers and super fans and work with them to increase engagement, organize tournaments, create an OP database, plan OP Kits, and more.

In addition, this position will be responsible for generating and posting content for social media and the Cryptozoic website.

Ultimately, the person in this role must be passionate about tabletop games and have some experience in organized play events (even as an active participant). If you don’t love tabletop games, please do not apply.



Organized Play

  • Act as OP ambassador and grow OP programs
  • Build databases of volunteers and super fans
  • Help create OP Kits
  • Develop guidelines for OP events
  • Communicate with stores to get support for OP programs
  • Promote OP events on website, on social media, in person, and via phone calls 
  • Manage player databases for OP programs 
  • Track OP expenditures
  • Attend events 
  • Work with Product Development, Sales, and Marketing teams as needed to meet objectives

Other Marketing

  • Social Media: Post regularly to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages, and strategize how to grow audiences on these platforms. Engage with fanbases on a regular basis. Maintains a schedule for social media, advertising, giveaways/contests, and PR campaigns. 
  • Outreach: Select content creators and reviewers to create reviews, playthroughs, streams, interviews..
  • Website: Help maintain company website, including posting product pages, blogs, and press releases.


  • Tabletop gaming experience
  • Organized play knowledge
  • Social media expertise
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree


  • Expertise in learning and playing tabletop games
  • Work with different teams (Product Development, Marketing, and Sales)
  • Passionate about pop culture 
  • Expertise in social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of Shopify platform
  • Strong organizational and time management ability and attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable of Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel
  • Game development and Organized Play experience is a plus
