Cryptozoic Will Showcase New Games and Exclusives at Gen Con Indy 2023

Lake Forest, CA – August 1, 2023 – Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of tabletop games, trading cards, and collectibles, today announced that it will feature numerous recent releases, previews of upcoming games, and several exclusives at Gen Con Indy, August 3-6 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

At Booth #413, Cryptozoic will preview Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game, an innovative roleplaying game based on the beloved animated series. Fans can purchase the exclusive Epic Spell Wars: Magus, Minion, & Manual Vol. 1, a storage box shaped like a spellbook that includes 23 Spellbook cards for the Epic Spell Wars: ANNIHILAGEDDON series. In addition, Cryptozoic will showcase the popular DC Deck-Building Game series, particularly recent releases DC Deck-Building: Injustice and Rivals – The Flash vs. Reverse-Flash. Fans can get an exclusive DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice Playmat and a three-card Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack at the booth. Last but not least, attendees who enjoy party games will be able to check out Rotten Tomatoes: The Card Game, based on the popular website for movie reviews.

Cryptozoic will offer tournaments and preview events throughout the show for DC Deck-Building Game and Epic Spell Wars, including the upcoming Epic Spell Wars: Anarchy at the Arena, the sixth spellcrafting game in the series, and two upcoming expansions for DC Deck-Building Game: Rebirth. Prizes include an exclusive Injustice General Zod Promo Card for DC Deck-Building Game.

Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game: Based on Cartoon Network’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning animated series, Adventure Time, this innovative roleplaying game offers an immersive and accessible experience for both novice players and seasoned RPG enthusiasts ages 12 and up. At the heart of the game is the "Yes And" game mechanic, developed in partnership with Forever Stoked Creative. The game will be available to preorder on Kickstarter soon.

Epic Spell Wars: Magus, Minion, & Manual Vol. 1: This epic storage box looks like a real spellbook and includes 22 Spellbook cards for every oversized Wizard in Epic Spell Wars: ANNIHILAGEDDON and ANNIHILAGEDDON 2. Plus it includes three train tokens and bonus oversized Wizard, Familiar, and Spellbook cards. The roomy box can store all the oversized Wizards, Familiars, and Spellbooks for the first two games in the series and the upcoming Epic Spell Wars: ANNIHILAGEDDON 3 — Satanic Panic. DC Deck-Building Game: Gen Con 2023 Promo Pack: These three cards for DC Deck-Building Game feature Birds of Prey, Avery Ho, and Savitar. Fans can get the pack for free with DC Deck-Building Game purchases of $75 or more, or they can buy it for $10.

DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice Playmat (Gen Con Exclusive): Designed for DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice, the playmat makes setup super simple. Featuring art by Well-Bee (Marvels X), the playmat measures 29.5 x 16 inches and will be available for $25.

DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice General Zod Promo Card (Gen Con 2023 Event Exclusive): Designed for DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice, this card features Injustice General Zod. It will be available exclusively for participants of DC Deck-Building Game events during the show. Any extras will be sold on the Cryptozoic website at a later date.
