Cryptozoic Entertainment Launches Kickstarter for
Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Game
Based on the Beloved TV Series, the Party Game Celebrates the Art of Riffing on Cheesy Movies, Including Classics from Roger Corman’s New Horizons Library
Laguna Hills, CA — December 2, 2025 — Cryptozoic Entertainment, a leading creator of tabletop games, trading cards, and collectibles, in collaboration with Radial Entertainment, today announced the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Game.
Inspired by the Mystery Science Theater 3000 irreverent comedy series created by Joel Hodgson, the game puts players in the shoes of characters from the Satellite of Love, as they must riff on cheesy movies using Riff cards or by writing their own comical riffs on special dry-erase cards.
The movies appear in the game via Movie Moment cards featuring select films from Roger Corman’s New Horizons library and many public domain movies like Night of the Living Dead, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and House on Haunted Hill, with the chosen images showing random and strange moments that encourage the one-liners the show is famous for.
The Kickstarter campaign includes an expansion, an 8-inch Moon Logo Token Holder based on the iconic MST3K logo, playmat, and acrylic standees and other component upgrades. And in the not-too-distant future, fans can look forward to lots of stretch goals.
“Mystery Science Theater 3000 has been a favorite of our team for years, and we’re beyond excited to bring its offbeat humor and charm to the tabletop,” said Shahriar Fouladi, CEO of Cryptozoic Entertainment. “We set out to create a game that feels authentically MST3K—packed with beloved characters, wonderfully cheesy movies, and endless opportunities to riff with friends. You can even play it with any movie you love. Just hit pause, start riffing, and turn your next movie night into a laugh-filled experiment worthy of the Satellite of Love.”
